Calling all owner-drivers…
The Lime Rock Vintage Festival 43 on the Labor Day Weekend of 2025 (August 29 – September 1) invites post war sports-racing cars to a unique race event… the first time the Monterey Sports Car Road Racers 1947-1955 are travelling to the east coast to take on the locals. This is the “West-East Post-War Pioneers Road Racing Class” essentially for drum-brake front-engined cars up to 1955. The Monterey cars conform to the spec of the Del Monte Trophy Race Group at https://dmtrg.com/2024/01/09/the-definition/.

Hopefully the excellent period correct sports cars and California Specials coming from the West Coast will trigger interest and entries from East Coast entrants.
Dear Steve and listed provisional entrants in the Events, Here are 10-11 Del Monte Trophy Race Group cars and drivers who are interested in making the bucket list trip to Lime Rock at the end of August. Please use this list to invigilate Mr. Barber and his organization in their efforts to recruit a group of similar cars for a special West-East race group of pioneer Post-War road racers. Timing is, as you know, of concern to all of us. With Regards, Rob
Celebrating its 43rd year, the Lime Rock Historic Festival launches into action over Labor Day weekend with a 17-mile tour through the area with Thursday’s Vintage Race Car and Sports Car Parade.
