Our web site secured

If you clicked on this web site www.dmtrg.com in the last four months you might have got a message that the web site is insecure and the advice not to proceed. Indeed we had a hosting glitch in the back end and we apologise for the mischievous loss of service. As of 25 September 2025 the web-site is on a new hosting platform and has the necessary security certificate. The URL starts with https not http, “s” for secure.

This is a good time for you to browse through the pages, point out errors and suggest new material to make it the ancient and modern archive it’s designed to be. Did you know we have 132 posts dating back to February 2017? Well, back to 1948 of course, as far as the subjects, the cars, are concerned. Browse the titles at https://dmtrg.com/blog/ and select “old posts” at the bottom. Or use the excellent search box in the bottom left of each page.

I thank Lars Mapstead, our intrepid Jaguar XK120 racer and DMTRG cohortista for creating the site, owning the domain name and facilitating the change of host. We thank Rob Manson for being such an affirmative steward of our race group. We thank Jon Wright of QuadWorks jon@quadworks.co.uk, the new host, for detecting and solving the DNS, back end and image problems. I remain your web master and am happy to help with queries or with putting data online. I also hold the Del Monte Trophy register of cars. marcus@bicknell.com
