The Barlow Simcas in 1952/3

These photos sent by Stephen Payne are good reminders of what the cars (Barlow Simca and MGs), the pits and the circuits looked like in 1952 and 1953. This is the Chino Airport circuit and its primitive facilities.

The white #61, the third Barlow Simca was driven by Louis Van Dyke, Barlow’s partner. The first of the three Barlow Specials #63, partly hidden, driven by Bill Pringle, the chief mechanic at International Motors, is the one acquired by Rob Manson in 2022.
#62 is the second one (headlights and right hand drive) which Barlow drove.
